Dr. Hoyson utilizes a custom tray system to whiten your teeth. This method of whitening requires two visits. On your first visit, molds or impressions of the top and bottom teeth will be taken in order to make clear, comfortable, custom designed bleaching trays. A patient will return for a second visit to make certain that the trays fit properly and comfortably. Each patient is given specific instructions on the placement of the bleaching gel. The trays are worn 30 minutes a day for 10 – 14 days. It’s normal to experience some tooth sensitivity during the bleaching process. This sensitivity will quickly subside when the bleaching is finished. Dr. Hoyson will also provide a desensitizing tooth paste to decrease or eliminate bleaching sensitivity.
